Duke’s MEM program offered a great opportunity to quickly gain insight to the business side of engineering.

Briefly describe your Duke Experience.

Duke is where I really got my first insight into the world beyond the technical side if engineering; how organizations are run, how decisions are made, what leadership looks like, and how you can create opportunities to have an impact on people's lives.

What impact has the degree had on your career?

Duke and the MEM program exposed me to the healthcare industry, which up until then I had no idea it was my true passion.

What advice would you give to prospective applicants - those who are just beginning to explore graduate options at Duke?

There are so many great options at Duke, reach out to the alumni within your area of interest to see what the best fit is for you.

What advice would you give to admitted students who are considering Duke?

Jump in head first, take advantage of all the resources in the Duke community and then don't just get involved but become proactive with your time.
