Several MEM students competed in Duke’s DataFest2014 event March 21-23. A total of 21 teams of over 100 students from Duke, UNC, NC State, and other schools participated in the event, where an organization provides an original data set to each team. Students have fewer than 48 hours to work with the data and present their findings to a panel of judges. Learn more about the event or read the FiveThirtyEight.com article on the event.
