Elective Tracks

Customize your degree to match your career goals

Through the Duke Master of Engineering Management's elective tracks, you can select courses to support the job role and career goals you have in mind.

As a Distributed Master of Engineering Management student, you'll select four elective courses.

Our elective tracks help guide those choices, by grouping courses by the skills needed to prepare you for your potential job role.

Each Duke Engineering Management course also reflects and supports our learning culture, which we call Professionalism and the Five Principles.

Our elective tracks are:

  • Customer Experience and Product Design
  • Data Analytics and Machine Learning
  • Operations and Supply Chain Management
  • Product Management
  • Technology Development and Commercialization

You can also create your own custom track, or pursue an engineering discipline-focused track, with our "Build Your Own" option.

Myron Fletcher"For me, Duke's distance option for Master of Engineering Management was a win-win. I remained fully engaged at work, but still made lifelong friendships and attended the beautiful campus of Duke!"
