Our staff is committed to supporting Duke MEM Online students throughout their course of study.
We encourage all students to discuss personal programming challenges so that we may provide options to ensure a successful and meaningful experience.
We allow online students to extend the program on a case-by-case basis.
Below are two examples of scenarios that would allow a student to take more than two years to complete the program. Note that the student must have completed three courses in order to complete the Mid-Program Residency at Duke.

Students can also work with their advisor to reduce the number of courses take, in a given semester.
Completing Duke MEM Online in 3 Years
- In this example the student doubles-up on courses in the final year—but this can be completed in any semester
- Note that not all courses are offered every semester, so the student will need to plan carefully and meet with their advisor
