Master of Engineering Management (MEM) Online
In two years, you can earn a Duke master's degree that expands your technical depth and increases your business knowledge
The Duke Master of Engineering Management Online offers you maximum flexibility to suit your interests:
- Four core management courses (12 credits)
- Four technical elective courses (12 credits)
- Three Residencies—Orientation, Mid-Program, and Capstone (0 credits)
- Project experience, written summary, oral presentation (6 credits)
Duke MEM Online students take the same classes and earn the same degree as students in our campus program.
Degree RequirementS
Courses
- Four (4) core engineering management courses developed in partnership with Duke's Law School and Fuqua School of Business
- Four (4) technical elective courses, which provide additional expertise in areas of your interest
Elective Tracks
Students may choose their electives by picking an Elective Track. The tracks allow students to demonstrate a command of knowledge in a specialty:
- Customer Experience and Product Design
- Data Analytics and Machine Learning
- Operations and Supply Chain Management
- Product Management
- Technology Development and Commercialization
Residencies
MEM Online students also complete three weeklong residences at Duke—and have the option of attending classes at Duke at any time.
The opportunities to interact with Duke Engineering Management students in our campus program include physical class attendance, project collaboration, and class assignment partnering through teleconferencing, student forums and other media alternatives.

The Duke Master of Engineering Management Online program (Duke MEM Online) was previously known as the Distributed Master of Engineering Management program (d-MEMP).
